Based on Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2023/956 as amended on 20 October 2025. Not a binding tariff information.

No CN code at hand?

The more precise (material, shape, use), the better.

The description is sent to Anthropic (USA) for analysis and is not stored. Please do not enter personal data. Privacy

Frequently asked questions

Which goods are covered by CBAM?

Cement, electricity, fertilisers, iron and steel, aluminium and hydrogen – more precisely: the CN codes listed in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2023/956. For iron and steel almost all of chapter 72 is covered, plus certain products from chapter 73 such as screws, tubes and structures. Excluded are, among others, scrap and many ferro-alloys.

Where do I find the CN code of my goods?

In the customs declaration or the customs duty notice (commodity code field), often also on the supplier's commercial invoice as HS or CN code. For CBAM the first 8 digits matter.

Is the result binding?

No. The check shows whether a CN code is listed in Annex I. Whether your goods are classified correctly is decided by customs; a binding tariff information (BTI) is issued by your customs authority.

Do you import CBAM goods?

Then every kilo counts towards the 50-tonne threshold. CBAMfix reads your import documents, keeps count automatically and warns you before you need authorised CBAM declarant status.
